Preschool

Our Story

Little Monkeys Preschool was established in 2012. We are licensed for 32 children and have a separate whānau room for our youngest Little Monkeys. We have excellent ratios, well above the minimum as believe that children thrive when they have more access to one on one time with teachers. We have a large outside area where children can run and ride bikes. We have beautiful large trees, many gardens and rabbits and chickens for our children to care for. We believe children come to us as unique individuals already and its our responsibility to work alongside them on this journey. Children are offered many varied learning experiences  and encouraged and supported to learn and grow alongside and with other children.  Our teachers are not only passionate about  teaching and learning but also about supporting our families.

We are located at 10 Pascal Street and enjoy getting out in the local community, visiting parks and going for walks.

We would love for you to visit and have a look around our centre  and see what we can offer to you and your child.

Philosophy & Vision

At Little Monkeys Learning Centre we strive to provide quality education and equitable learning opportunities, removing barriers to ensure that each child reaches their potential. We acknowledge the importance in providing a healthy and safe environment where children are supervised at all times.

Little Monkeys learning Centre Values:

Our teaching and learning is based around the following values:

  • Child centred
  • Innovative and professional Educators
  • Collaborative relationships
  • Community focused
  • Stimulating environment

Our Pre-school, Our Family, Our Community

At Little Monkeys Preschool we provide a varied and exciting learning programme based on each child’s individual learning needs and interests.

We offer real life experiences for our children and our environment is set up to provide them with rich, varied and fun learning opportunities.

We value the learning that comes from being active in our community and we run a charity called Palmy Revolution.

Our hope is to send our children off to school with a love of learning, a curious mind and the social skills to be a great friend and competent and confident person.
